Job summary

Altum Consulting is recruiting a Senior Cloud Billing Analyst to join a fast-paced UK technology business. The role focuses on accurate monthly billing, validation of usage data and running complex billing cycles across multiple vendors.

You will lead data preparation, root-cause analysis of billing issues and drive improvements in systems and controls while engaging with senior stakeholders to deliver clear insights.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in IT/telecom or similar fast-paced tech environments.
• Strong billing operations experience across cloud/usage/subscription models.
• Excellent skills in analysing complex financial data and communicating results.
• Advanced Excel and large dataset handling abilities.
• Experience reviewing billing systems, controls and processes.
• Proven ability to investigate issues, identify root causes and deliver solutions.
• Stakeholder management and ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate monthly billing cycles with data prep, validation, reconciliation and run execution.
• Handle high-volume cloud and consumption datasets and ensure accuracy.
• Lead development and optimisation of billing processes to support growth.
• Investigate billing issues with root-cause analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Act as a subject-matter expert and lead cross-functional billing workstreams.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales and Ops to implement billing initiatives.
• Serve as a point of contact for sales teams and customers on billing queries.
• Identify and deliver process improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
• Support audits with analysis, documentation and auditor liaison.
• Strengthen data quality and reporting across the billing function.
