Job summary

Capgemini Invent in the UK is seeking a Cloud Architect to lead architecture strategy on cloud transformation engagements across AWS, Azure and GCP. You will be the technical anchor, shaping strategy and telling the story behind the technology.

As a senior consultant, you will translate technical choices into business language, facilitate client workshops and present architectural recommendations so they can be understood, funded and delivered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on architecture with AWS/Azure/GCP; professional certifications desirable.
• Broad infrastructure, networking, security and data focus with cloud migration expertise.
• Consulting-architect mix: technical credibility plus client-facing communication skills.
• Experience designing for AI and data workloads; interest in generative/agentic AI architectures.
• Experience in consulting or client-facing roles in a matrixed org.
• TOGAF or equivalent frameworks are a plus.
• Experience working with external stakeholders and building trusted relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture workstreams across engagements with senior client stakeholders.
• Define workload placement strategies and modernisation patterns across cloud environments.
• Design AI-ready platforms including data and GenAI patterns.
• Translate technical choices into business narratives and present recommendations to clients.
• Support bids and propositions with technical depth and credibility.
