Job summary

Autodesk in the United Kingdom is seeking a Software Architect to define cloud-native services and distributed-systems architectures for AECDM, spanning multiple product lines and teams.

You will mentor engineers, establish governance through ADRs, ensure reliability and performance, and collaborate with global teams across Revit, AutoCAD, and Forma. This on-site senior role shapes the next generation of AEC data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years designing cloud-native, distributed systems.
• 5+ years cross-team architect experience.
• Strong API/service design and data modeling.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve API surfaces across AEC Data services.
• Define cross-team, cloud-native architecture and service contracts.
• Model data schemas for AECDM domain entities and ensure compatibility.
• Establish standards, reference architectures, and ADRs for governance.
• Mentor engineers and drive alignment across teams.
• Ensure reliability, security, and performance of systems.
