We are seeking a practitioner psychologist to join our inpatient learning disability service. This is a Band 7 to 8a development (preceptorship) role, suitable for newly qualifying psychologists.
The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team at the Najurally assessment and treatment unit for adults with learning disabilities. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, offering opportunities to apply a range of psychological skills. You will be supported by an experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist and work alongside Assistant and Trainee psychologists to deliver assessments, interventions, Positive Behaviour Support, training, staff support, and trauma-informed practice. The role emphasizes skill development in consultation, education, clinical leadership, and compassionate care. There is a focus on quality improvement, service development, and professional growth. The role requires working on Mondays, with flexibility in hours outside of this.
