Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an experienced Band 8b Clinical/Forensic Psychologist for 0.72 wte, primarily based in the Learning Disabilities Psychological Therapies Service at Strathmartine Centre, Dundee, with travel across the Tayside area expected.

The post requires post-qualification clinical experience, the ability to lead complex assessments and formulations, and to supervise Doctoral Trainee Clinical Psychologists within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Post-qualification clinical experience delivering psychological services to adults with learning disabilities.
• Experience in assessment and formulation of highly complex cases.
• Ability to supervise Doctoral Trainee Clinical Psychologists.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessment, treatment and consultation to adults with learning disabilities.
• Lead in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
• Provide supervision and contribute to training programs.
