Job summary

NHS Scotland seeks a Band 8a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist to join the Tayside Psychological Therapies Service in Dundee. The post is 1.0 wte and largely based at Strathmartine Centre, with travel across the Tayside area.

You will provide psychological assessment, treatment and consultation to adults with learning disabilities across forensic, community, outpatient and day settings, and lead complex-case assessment and formulation within a multi-disciplinary framework.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate Doctoral level training in Clinical/Forensic Psychology or equivalent.
• Experience delivering psychological services to adults with learning disabilities.
• Ability to lead assessment and formulation within multi-disciplinary settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessment, treatment and consultation to adults with learning disabilities.
• Work across forensic, community, outpatient and day service settings.
• Provide supervision and contribute to training of staff.
