Job summary

NHS Tayside is seeking a Band 8a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist to work 1.0 wte across Tayside with a focus on learning disabilities. The post is based mainly at the Strathmartine Centre, Dundee, with travel across the region expected.

The postholder will lead assessments and provide high-quality psychological services within a multidisciplinary framework. Applicants should have doctoral-level training in Clinical/Forensic Psychology and be eligible for HCPC registration and BPS Chartered

Qualifications

• Post-graduate Doctoral level training in Clinical/Forensic Psychology and eligibility for HCPC registration and BPS Chartered status.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and providing supervision.
• Strong skills in assessment, formulation and evidence-based interventions for adults with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention for adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs.
• Deliver individual and group interventions across forensic, community, outpatient and day services.
• Provide consultation and supervision to staff and contribute to a training agenda.
• Lead in high-quality service delivery within multi-disciplinary and multi-agency settings.
