Job overview
This role is for a Paediatrics & Neonates Clinical Fellow (Registrar) based at Newham University Hospital, part of the Barts Health NHS Trust, one of the largest NHS Trusts in the UK.
The candidate must have full GMC Registration, MRCPCH or equivalent, and experience in general paediatrics and neonatology.
The department is busy, serving a diverse, young population with facilities including a 21-bed paediatric ward, HDU, day care ward, observational unit, and neonatal units caring for babies born after 27 weeks gestation.
Main duties of the job
This full-time, fixed-term (6 months), trust grade post supports career development in Paediatrics and neonatal care. Responsibilities include ward rounds, outpatient clinics, A&E coverage, labor and postnatal ward duties under consultant supervision, and on-call shifts covering NICU, delivery, and paediatrics.
Participation in departmental audits, clinical guideline development, and research is encouraged, with a dedicated research registrar facilitating these activities.
