This is a new full-time Senior Clinical Fellow post for 6 months in response to service needs.
This 6-month post is based in the Department of Neurology as a Senior Clinical Fellow (ST3/IMT3 equivalent). The postholder will work alongside neurology trainees and junior doctors, with responsibilities including:
The ability to perform lumbar punctures is highly desirable.
The postholder will participate in the neurology on-call rota, which involves day shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, one weekend in six, under supervision.
Provision will be made for participation in outpatient neurology clinics. There is a weekly departmental educational meeting, and an excellent neuroradiology meeting every Thursday morning discussing inpatient neuroradiology.
Some GIM work will also be undertaken, currently in 2-week blocks in acute medicine, with an expectation of completing two such blocks during the 6-month period.
