Job Description:

We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatrics on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Paediatrics department.

Our client is one of the largest hospital trusts in the country, with over 12,000 staff, a turnover of around £1 billion, and one million patient contacts annually. The Trust includes two of London's oldest and most renowned teaching hospitals, with a history spanning nearly 900 years, known for medical progress and innovation.

This position is divided into two parts: 50% educational work, including liaising with teams, developing programmes, and delivering teaching; and 50% clinical work, providing registrar-level care through a full on-call system, aligned with the candidate's training interests and level.

The successful candidate will undertake duties such as collaborating with the Director of Education and Education & Training leads to provide staff training, supporting undergraduate teaching, working with College Tutors on clinically focused education, assisting Junior Doctors' teams, and engaging in clinical governance activities like audits, guideline development, and risk management.
