Job summary
We are seeking an exceptional candidate for a Senior Clinical Fellow (SCF) position in Critical Care, with a particular emphasis on either Echocardiography or Research. This prestigious role is designed to significantly develop your skills in critical care echocardiography or perform and develop research within our ICU and combine that with refining to your clinical expertise in the Intensive Care
Key responsibilities include providing high-level clinical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit; engaging in specialised training and practice in critical care echocardiography or contribute to ground-breaking research initiatives; contributing to educational program; developing managerial skills including in participating in quality improvement.
Main duties of the job
Approximately half of your time will be dedicated to advancing your main skill areaeither echocardiography or research. Echo fellows join the UCLH critical care echo service, where you will be trained to perform full scans and interpret them in the context of critical illness to level to standards and beyond. Research fellows will work with the research teams to produce and develop research in areas such as hyperinflammation, sepsis, echocardiography, haem-oncology and perioperative medicine.

- Final FRCA or equivalent
- Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practise.
Desirable- Entry onto the Specialist register for Anaesthesia/Critical Care Medicine
- Higher degree (eg. MD or PhD)
