Job Description:

We have been assigned by one of the UK's top-performing teaching NHS hospitals to help recruit a Senior Clinical Fellow in Anaesthetics, on either a substantive or a 12-month NHS fixed-term basis.

This hospital is part of one of the UK's largest and busiest teaching trusts, with a turnover of £1 billion, 1.5 million patient contacts annually, and over 15,000 staff. The hospital has six main theatres, six day-case theatres, and provides perioperative care across various specialties including general surgery, urology, gynaecology, ENT, breast, orthopaedics, trauma, ophthalmology, and bariatric surgery. Additionally, a new Endoscopy building with two theatres for general anaesthesia procedures is under construction.

As a Senior Clinical Fellow, you will join a team of 29 consultants, 6 associate specialists, 12 core trainees, and specialty registrars in a rotational training program. Your duties will include perioperative care for elective and emergency surgeries, supporting on-call rotas for emergencies and labour ward, and participating in educational and training activities within the department and hospital.

This role offers a great opportunity to develop educational interests and supports CESR achievement, with the hospital actively encouraging and supporting doctors in this process.
