Senior Clinical Fellow in Clinical Oncology
Nodal Point 4, Full Time - 40 hours per week, Fixed Term - 6 months
Applications are invited for a post in the Clinical oncology department at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in pursuing a career in oncology and involved in our new high-profile Cancer Centre. Our department is well-recognized for its specialist Oncology training. While these posts do not include educational support for specialist training, they offer exciting educational opportunities, including involvement in clinical trial research, audit, appraisal, and study leave provisions.
To be considered, MRCP or equivalent is desirable, and some form of oncology experience is essential. Candidates must have passed the IELTS exam.
This role offers involvement in our high-profile Cancer Centre, with a focus on outpatient or day unit activities to ensure the safe administration of systemic anti-cancer therapy. Responsibilities include participating in clinical and service activities to maintain high patient care standards, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and following Trust policies and procedures.

The post will primarily involve outpatient or day unit work to ensure the safe administration of systemic anti-cancer therapy. The role includes participating in clinical activities to ensure high standards of patient care, involvement in teaching and training, and adherence to updated Trust policies.
Clinical: The postholder will be responsible for providing Oncology services within the Trust, including diagnosis and treatment, clinical responsibility for patients, participation in outpatient and chemotherapy day unit activities, and possibly hospital at night cover and on-call duties, including a rota system approximately every 8-10 weeks.
