Job summary

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (Band 7–8a development post). The role is full time 37.5 hours with part time or job share options.

You will work within the specialist community mental health team, providing assessment and treatment, supervision and teaching to colleagues. The service welcomes applicants able to engage in funded training in DBT, CAT or MBT and contribute to MDT practice.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered as a clinical psychologist.
• Experience with complex mental health presentations.
• Ability to provide assessment and treatment within an MDT.
• Willingness to supervise and train colleagues.
• Interest in specialised therapies (DBT, CAT, MBT).

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to service users.
• Deliver individual and group therapies.
• Offer consultation and supervision to other professionals.
• Contribute to MDT discussion and service development.
• Support funded training programmes in DBT, CAT or MBT.
