Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a 1.0 WTE Band 7/8a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join the Adult Inpatient Psychological Services Team at Basildon Mental Health Unit. The role involves specialist assessment, formulation and intervention for individuals in acute mental health crises within inpatient wards.

The post emphasises staff wellbeing, flexible working options (including compressed hours), and opportunities for professional development and innovation.

Qualifications

• Band 7/8a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist.
• Inpatient psychological services experience desired.
• Trauma-informed care approach preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for inpatients.
• Supervise junior staff and contribute to teaching, reflective practice groups and post-incident debriefs.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop psychologically informed understandings of crisis presentations and recovery pathways.
