Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Nottingham seeks a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist at Band 8a (or progression from Band 7). The post is permanent with a fixed-term 12-month option and full-time hours (37.5 per week).

You will provide specialist assessments and therapies, offer consultation to non-psychologist colleagues, and contribute to service development across AMH and Nottinghamshire.

A doctoral level qualification and HCPC registration are required; DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Doctoral level qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
• HCPC registration is required.
• Experience with adults with a range of mental health difficulties and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience of supervision and research activities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy.
• Offer expert advice on psychological care to non-psychologists.
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Trust policies.
• Contribute to psychological therapies pathway development and service development.
• Engage in teaching, training and supervision within the team.
