Job summary

IRIS Software Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Senior Client Payroll Executive to join our growing Client Payroll team. You will deliver payroll expertise across a portfolio of clients and mentor junior colleagues.

You will act as SME on payroll legislation and compliance, help resolve complex queries, ensure accurate on-time payroll processing, and drive continuous improvement within a supportive and collaborative payroll function.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a payroll environment.
• Knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, National Insurance and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting junior colleagues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide payroll expertise and support across a portfolio of payroll clients.
• Support and mentor Client Payroll Trainees and Administrators.
• Act as a subject matter expert on payroll legislation and compliance.
• Assist with complex payroll processing and query resolution.
• Ensure payrolls are processed accurately and delivered on time.
• Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build strong working relationships with internal teams and customers.
• Contribute to maintaining excellent service standards across the payroll function.
