Job summary

Fletcher George Financial Recruitment seeks an experienced Client Manager for an ambitious Weybridge accountancy practice. The role focuses on managing owner-managed businesses and SMEs, delivering accounting and tax guidance with a proactive advisory approach.

You will work closely with Directors, lead client meetings and support colleagues in a modern, technology-led hybrid environment. Applicants must hold ACA/ACCA and have ≥5 years PQE.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification with at least five years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong client-management and portfolio oversight capabilities.
• Experience in UK accounts, tax compliance and advisory.
• Comfort leading client meetings and developing junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and oversee accounts and tax compliance.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, management accounts and personal tax returns.
• Lead client meetings and advise business owners.
• Manage workflow, WIP, billing and deadlines.
• Support and develop junior colleagues.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional client services.
• Contribute ideas to improve systems and processes.

Fletcher George is recruiting an experienced Client Manager for an ambitious and fast-growing independent accountancy practice in Weybridge.

We are looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who enjoys managing clients, supporting colleagues and who will contribute ideas to help shape the future of a growing practice.

The Role

You will manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs, providing accounting, tax and practical business advice.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing client relationships and overseeing accounts and tax compliance
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, management accounts and personal tax returns
• Leading client meetings and advising business owners
• Managing workflow, WIP, billing and deadlines
• Supporting and developing junior colleagues
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional client services
• Contributing ideas to improve systems, processes and the client experience

About You

We welcome applications from experienced Client Managers, Accounts Managers and Portfolio Managers with a strong background in UK accountancy practice.

You will ideally have:

• ACA or ACCA qualification with at least five years' post-qualification experience
• Proven experience managing a client portfolio
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts, corporation tax and personal tax
• Confidence in advising clients and supporting junior colleagues
• Good working knowledge of Xero and cloud-based accounting systems
• An interest in developments across accountancy, taxation and technology
• Strong communication skills and commercial awareness

Location and Working Arrangements

Based in Weybridge, the position is accessible from Walton-on-Thames, Addlestone, Cobham, Esher, Chertsey, Woking and West Byfleet.
