Job summary

Fletcher George Financial Recruitment is seeking an Audit Manager for our respected client in Croydon. You will lead audits from planning through to completion, acting as the primary client contact and guiding junior team members.

The role offers a hybrid working pattern, a competitive salary of £60,000–£65,000, and a comprehensive benefits package including a discretionary bonus, 25 days holiday and clear opportunities for progression within a well‑established practice.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with external audit background.
• Experience leading audits from planning to completion in UK practice.
• Knowledge of Clarity ISAs and UK GAAP.
• Proven ability to supervise and develop junior team members.
• Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
• Commercial mindset with ability to identify actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage statutory audits from planning through to completion.
• Review audit files for compliance with UK standards (Clarity ISAs).
• Manage budgets, timelines and engagement delivery.
• Act as primary client contact during the audit.
• Coach and develop junior audit staff.
• Support business development opportunities.
• Assist with statutory accounts and other compliance work.
