Job summary

Fletcher George Financial Recruitment is seeking an ACA or ACCA-qualified Accounts Supervisor for a well-established international firm of accountants based in Leatherhead. The role offers hybrid working and a salary of £45,000 to £53,000, along with an excellent benefits package.

You will manage a client portfolio, mentor junior staff, and review their work while contributing to UK and multinational reporting, VAT and PAYE guidance, and the implementation of accounting systems.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification with practice experience.
• Experience reviewing junior staff work and providing feedback.

Responsibilities

• Review UK and multinational management accounts prepared by staff.
• Advise on VAT and PAYE matters.
• Assist startups with financial planning and support.
• Implement accounting systems and computerised processes.
• UK financial reporting for various entity types (UK, LLPs, sole traders).
• Engage in project work and occasional client secondments.
• Handle multi-currency accounting.
• Provide general business advice to clients.

Accounts Supervisor | Leatherhead
£45,000–£53,000 | Hybrid Working | Excellent Benefits

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with strong practice experience to join a well-established and growing accountancy firm based in Surrey.

Working closely with senior management, you’ll take responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients, review work prepared by junior team members and provide support and guidance across a broad range of accounting matters.

The role

• Review management accounts and statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio
• Provide advice on VAT, PAYE and general accounting matters
• Support clients with accounting systems and software implementation
• Prepare and review accounts for limited companies, sole traders and LLPs
• Provide support to start-ups and growing businesses
• Work on ad-hoc projects and client assignments
• Deal with multi-currency accounting where required
• Provide wider commercial and business advice to clients
• Mentor and review the work of more junior team members
• Work with modern accounting systems, including Sage and Xero

About you

You’ll be ACA or ACCA qualified with solid accountancy practice experience and the confidence to manage client relationships, review work and support more junior colleagues.
