Evan Craig Limited in Greater Manchester is seeking a Senior Civils Design Engineer to lead highways and drainage design for residential developments, taking ownership from site appraisal through to final approval.

You will join a growing multidisciplinary consultancy delivering civil, structural, geotechnical and geoenvironmental solutions across the UK, with a strong residential housing focus for major housebuilders.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years' design office experience in civils.
• Ability to lead designs independently.
• Experience with drainage feasibility and Flood Risk Assessments.
• Knowledge of Section 38 & 104 submissions and approvals.
• Experience with LLFA in England and SAB in Wales.

Responsabilidades

• Lead highways and drainage design for residential developments, including external levels and plot drainage
• Take ownership of designs from site appraisal and drainage feasibility through to final approval
• Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
• Manage Section 38 and Section 104 submissions and approval processes
• Liaise with LLFAs in England and SABs in Wales
• Prepare and check drawings, calculations and reports, guiding junior engineers and technicians
• Contribute to feasibility studies, risk assessments and option appraisals
• Work with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with standards and health & safety

They deliver civil, structural, geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering solutions across the UK, and their work is predominantly residential, for major housebuilders, alongside a portfolio of commercial projects.

They are looking for a highly skilled Senior Civils Design Engineer who thrives on completing designs independently and delivering high-quality residential schemes to join their growing team. This is a key role, leading civil engineering design with a strong focus on highways and drainage for residential developments and taking ownership of designs from initial site appraisal through to final approval.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ design office track record
• Ability to complete designs independently
• Background in site appraisals and drainage feasibility studies
• Knowledge and understanding of Flood Risk Assessments
• Strong working knowledge of Section 38 & Section 104 submissions and approvals
• Background with LLFA in England and SAB within Wales
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Causeway PDS and Causeway Flow
• Chartered or working towards chartership with the ICE (desirable)
