Aldwych Consulting Ltd in Dacorum is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to lead drainage and infrastructure design projects, influencing delivery and supporting junior engineers. You will work in a collaborative environment on diverse developments and engage with clients and local authorities.
This role offers flexible working, ongoing professional development, and clear progression toward Chartership. The company values diversity and encourages applications from all backgrounds.
I'm currently working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy that's continuing to strengthen its civil engineering capability in the South East.
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer who wants to take ownership of projects, influence delivery, and play a key role in the growth of a high-performing team.
The business operates across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, offering exposure to the full project lifecycle - from early feasibility through to detailed design and technical approvals. You'll be working in a collaborative environment alongside planners, environmental specialists and other design professionals.
You’ll take the lead on drainage and infrastructure design, managing projects from concept through to approval. This includes producing Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and detailed design packages, while also supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
You’ll also be client‑facing, liaising with local authorities, water companies and wider project teams, so strong communication skills are key.
What stands out here is the level of responsibility you’ll be given, alongside clear progression opportunities as the team continues to grow. It’s a role suited to someone who wants to step up, take ownership, and have a real impact on project delivery.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, feel free to get in touch for a confidential conversation.
