Job summary

Amentum is recruiting a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer to lead a CS&A team across UK projects. You will deliver civil and structural designs for complex facilities, including nuclear-related settings, while coordinating with delivery partners and the design team.

The role supports hybrid working and multiple UK office locations, with a focus on safe, compliant, and high-quality outcomes. Strong design experience and Chartered status are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Good, accredited MEng degree in Civil Engineering or similar Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer
• Good all-round technical design expertise using British and international standards, and/or Eurocodes
• Background engineering experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery.
• Experience of working within a regulated and quality assured system.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of CS&A engineers and architects in the definition, implementation and delivery of specified functional works that achieves safety, functional and business requirements.
• Delivery of the civil, structural Engineering Design, including reinforced concrete structures, plated steel structures, maritime structures and specialized Nuclear facilities.
• Manage the interface to and between key Delivery Partners and the design team.
• Develop deliverables list and format (drawings, specifications, reports, etc.)
