Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer to lead CS&A design across UK offices. The role focuses on delivering civil and structural engineering design for complex projects, including nuclear facilities, in collaboration with partners and the design team.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, extensive design expertise, and experience within regulated quality systems, while delivering on programme requirements and safety standards across multiple UK sites.

Qualifications

• Good, accredited MEng degree in Civil Engineering or similar Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer.
• Good all-round technical design expertise using British and international standards, and/or Eurocodes.
• Background engineering experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery.
• Experience of working within a regulated and quality-assured system.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of CS&A engineers and architects in the definition, implementation and delivery of specified functional works that achieve safety, functional and business requirements.
• Delivery of the civil, structural Engineering Design, including reinforced concrete structures, plated steel structures, maritime structures and specialised Nuclear facilities.
• Manage the interface to and between key Delivery Partners and the design team.
• Develop deliverables list and format (drawings, specifications, reports, etc.)
