Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced civil and structural engineer to lead small projects and develop feasibility studies, reference designs, and detailed design solutions for civil and structural works. You will produce calculations, technical reports and specifications, and coordinate with BIM teams and construction personnel to ensure safe, efficient delivery.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in civil and structural engineering design.
• Experience on nuclear, energy, infrastructure or other highly regulated projects.
• Proven experience of structural condition surveys.
• Strong understanding of civil and structural design principles, analysis and calculations.
• Ability to prepare technical specifications, reports and design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead small projects and technical work packages with minimal supervision.
• Prepare feasibility studies, reference designs and detailed design solutions for civil and structural works.
• Produce design analysis, calculations, specifications, technical reports and related documentation.
• Carry out structural condition surveys and provide clear findings and recommendations.
• Communicate designs effectively to BIM teams and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Work closely with construction teams to support safe and effective project delivery.
• Communicate confidently with clients and contribute to technical proposals.
• Identify and deliver value engineering solutions while supporting and guiding junior team members.
