Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Technical Principal with strong civil/structural engineering expertise to join our Energy division. You will lead design on power generation, HV substations, and cables, oversee FEED activities, costings, and project delivery, and coordinate across disciplines in a globally connected environment.

You should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil/Structural Engineering, with Chartered status desirable, and proven leadership in complex energy projects.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of structural engineering principles including load-bearing capacity and design codes
• Proficiency with SAP2000, ETABS or similar for modeling and analysis
• Experience using BIM technologies for project visualization and coordination
• Ability to lead structural projects, manage timelines, budgets, and quality
• Experience with FEED and cost estimation in energy projects

Responsibilities

• Project Management of structural projects
• Act as Project Lead for engineering design
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates
• Lead FEED activities for structural components
• Prepare planning/drawings for tender and planning packages
• Coordinate design across multidisciplinary teams
• Prepare specifications and assess existing structures for reuse
