Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the United Kingdom, including regions such as the Midlands and London, is seeking a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead high-quality civil and structural design work for major infrastructure schemes.

You will collaborate with national and international design teams to deliver across bridges, civil, and railway projects while guiding junior staff and managing the internal supply chain.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a degree in a related discipline and practical experience of Civil Engineering or Structures projects.
• A professional qualification such as CEng/IEng and membership of the ICE or IStructE or a professional Project Management Qualification.
• Practical experience of managing transportation projects.
• Experience working with key clients such as Network Rail, HS2, local authorities or major Contractors and Developers.
• NEC 4 Project Management Accreditation or demonstratable experience managing NEC 4 Projects.
• Experience of bidding and winning work.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to converse with a wide range of clients, stakeholders and colleagues across a number of engineering disciplines.
• Good project management skills, commercial awareness, financial control and ability to deliver across a range of contract types.

Responsibilities

• Take pride in managing high-quality civil and structural designs for new constructions, renewals, maintenance, and assessments or working across sectors.
• Collaborate with national and international design teams, using your expertise and leadership to create positive, sustainable impacts on society and the environment.
• Manage the production and review of high-quality design documentation, including sketches, drawings, calculations, reports, and specifications.
• Independently carry out project management work and provide guidance to junior staff members.
• Lead teams in the design, assessment, and maintenance of structural or railway civil engineering projects, multi-disciplinary projects, bridges projects or work with other disciplines.
• Develop and agree scopes and manage the internal technical supply chain, including budgets, programme and quality of deliverables.
• Lead bids and tenders, winning work and developing Client relationships.
