Job summary

Careys Foundation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major heavy civils project at Gartree. You will own delivery from planning through commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental compliance while driving programme, commercial performance and stakeholder engagement.

Lead multidisciplinary teams, manage design governance, and coordinate procurement and logistics to deliver on time and within budget. Strong leadership and technical acumen are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering major civils, energy or infrastructure projects.
• HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Temporary Works Coordinator certificate and CSCS Black card preferred.
• PRINCE2/PMQ or professional accreditation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality, safety and environmental strategy across the project.
• Provide technical authority and oversee temporary/permanent works.
• Govern design, BIM alignment and client requirements.
• Coordinate multi-site logistics and supply chain interfaces.
• Direct procurement and materials strategies to protect schedule.
• Own master programme, lead recovery planning, report milestones.
• Contribute to commercial strategy including variations and risk.
• Build client relationships and chair structured meetings.
• Promote proactive, safety‑first culture across the team.
