Careys Foundation is looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join our team in Wigan, delivering a major civil engineering project. You will be core to project delivery, working alongside experienced engineers to ensure that works are completed safely and to specification.

The ideal candidate will have experience in major civils projects, strong technical knowledge, and a relevant qualification in civil engineering. The role comes with various benefits including private healthcare and 26 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating site engineering activities.
• Ability to manage technical compliance and construction information.
• Proficient in monitoring project progress against targets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site engineering activities and liaise with clients.
• Manage technical compliance and construction information.
• Monitor progress against programme, cost, and quality targets.
• Support procurement, logistics, and material management.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Skills

Experience on major civils / infrastructure projects

Strong technical knowledge

Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills

Confident communicator

Education

HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
