Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking Principal civil engineers (design engineers) for the Water Division. You will lead the design of major water supply infrastructure to ensure sustainable water security and contribute to innovative sewer and wastewater treatment solutions.

The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, delivering projects to time and budget, and developing client relationships to secure future work. UK-based travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver complex technical projects with QA standards.
• Experience leading design teams across multiple disciplines.
• Strong collaboration across engineers and environmental specialists.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project(s) within budget and programme with coordinating teams.
• Produce calculations, drawings, and reports while managing design risk.
• Represent MM in meetings and build client relationships.
• Deliver projects with clients and contractors in partnership.
• Contribute to bids, forecasting, and risk management.
• Adhere to MM’s standards and assess health, safety, and environmental impact.
