Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer – Hydraulic to work on major water and wastewater projects across the lifecycle from feasibility to construction. You will shape civil functions, ensure fit-for-purpose designs, and collaborate across teams to deliver safe, efficient outcomes.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, CEng, and proven delivery against design, quality and safety standards with a willingness to travel to sites in the operational region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution
• Experience delivering high quality outputs to design, quality and safety standards
• Clear communication with team members and stakeholders
• Methodical problem solving approach
• Driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your region

Responsibilities

• Providing design support and guidance for schemes, ensuring designs meet legislation and standards
• Collaborating with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop practical, safe solutions
• Engaging with clients, managing relationships with a one-team approach
• Managing interfaces between civil design and other disciplines, producing documentation
• Acting as technical checker and conducting technical reviews across projects
• Identifying opportunities to improve delivery processes and implement standard designs
• Undertaking site reviews to ensure buildability and integration with existing systems
• Supporting development of civil engineering team through coaching and mentoring
