Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in the United Kingdom, London area to lead civil design and project delivery. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop plans, designs, and specifications from concept to completion, engaging with clients and managing budgets.

Qualifications

• BEng, Meng, MSc or equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a relevant subject.
• Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer (IEng/CEng MICE) or working towards this.
• Minimum 6 years’ industry experience, ideally with a design consultancy, focusing on highway and drainage projects.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts, Manual for Streets 2, DMRB, TSRGD, and related guidance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out engineering concept design to detailed design, tender and contract on-site supervision through to completion.
• Ensure all designs and reports meet quality standards and undergo in-house reviews.
• Assist with management and supervision of project delivery including client briefs and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, design variations and budgets.
• Implement QA systems on all projects and coordinate with design teams.
