Job summary

HDR is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to lead multi‑disciplinary project delivery in a London/Manchester setting. You will manage client briefs, align technical requirements with cost plans, and drive on‑time, quality outcomes across civil and structural scopes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or working toward IEng/CEng status.
• Minimum 7 years in design consultancy with highway and drainage projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, management and supervision of delivery, define scope and deliverables.
• Perform concept to detailed design, tender and on-site supervision, ensuring quality.
• Direct multi-disciplinary design teams for coordinated, compliant outputs.
• Maintain in-house reviews and checks for design assurance.
• Implement QA systems and health & safety compliance.
• Monitor progress, variations and project budgets.
• Develop client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
