Job summary

Plymouth-based Senior Engineer role with a Tier 1 civil contractor. Lead and mentor site engineers on multidisciplinary civil, marine, defence and major infrastructure projects in Plymouth.

You will oversee RAMS, ITPs and QA, manage setting out and surveying, ensure quality, and support planning and procurement within a strong construction team. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree, 3–5 years civils experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of civils, infrastructure or marine experience.
• Strong quality management and construction methodology knowledge.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Confident communicator able to challenge designs and solve problems.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor site engineers.
• Oversee RAMS, ITPs, temporary works briefs, progress reporting and QA documentation.
• Manage dimensional control, site setting out and survey activities.
• Ensure quality standards, compliance and accurate as-builts.
• Support supply chain coordination and performance.
• Contribute to planning, procurement, materials forecasting and site documentation.
• Drive safe systems of work and support the site management team.
