Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking a Site Engineer for a major civils project in Plymouth. The role focuses on setting out, surveying, and quality assurance on a high-profile MoD project. Candidates should have a degree in engineering and CSCS, with at least 3 years' civils site experience.

Permanent position based in Plymouth, with ongoing work on site. The ideal candidate will manage site measurements, maintain records, and produce as-built drawings using AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent in an engineering field; CSCS card required.
• Minimum 3 years' Site Engineer experience, civils preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set out structures and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations).
• Assist with quality control to meet design specifications.
• Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management).
• Maintain health, safety and environmental standards on site per client and company policy.
• Liaise with site team to ensure materials meet specifications.
• Keep accurate records of progress, site diaries and resource allocations.
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD.

Site Engineer - Major Civils Project - Plymouth

My client is a long established, leading Civil Engineering Contractor.

They are presently delivering a major improvement works to a major Ministry of Defence Project in Plymouth, Devon.

The Site Engineer will be responsible for setting out, as-builts and quality assurance.

My client has at least 3+ years of work on this project and with the possibility of continuous work in the area for the right individual.

These are permanent positions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Setting out structures and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
• Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
• Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
• Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD.

Requirements:

• Required: Degree level or equivalent in an engineering-related discipline, plus relevant CSCS card
• Required: Minimum 3 years' experience at Site Engineer level or above, ideally with at least some civils project experience.
