RGB is seeking a Senior Engineer in Devon to lead and mentor a site team on a long-term civils/marine project. You will oversee RAMS, ITPs, temporary works briefs and QA, manage setting out and survey, ensure quality and accurate as-builts, and coordinate with suppliers. The role drives planning, procurement, and safe working practices across defence, maritime, energy and major infrastructure works. Plymouth project, permanent position.

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3-5 years experience in civils, infrastructure or marine works.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Suite.

A permanent position has arisen for a Senior Engineer in Devon with RGB, supporting a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor on a long-term, high-profile scheme in Plymouth.

The salary is £42,000 to £45,000 per annum plus car and additional benefits.

The successful candidate will lead and mentor site engineers, oversee RAMS, ITPs, temporary works briefs, progress reporting and QA documentation. Duties also include managing dimensional control, setting out and survey activities, ensuring quality standards and accurate as-builts, and supporting supply chain coordination and performance. Contribution to planning, procurement, materials forecasting and site documentation is expected, alongside driving safe systems of work across defence, maritime, energy and major infrastructure works.

I am currently supporting a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor on a long-term, high-profile project in Plymouth, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join the growing site team. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role in delivering complex, multidisciplinary engineering works across defence, maritime, energy and major infrastructure.

What we’re looking for

• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• 3-5 years experience in civils, infrastructure or marine works
• Strong understanding of quality management and construction methodology
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Suite
• Confident communicator able to challenge designs and solve problems
• Full UK Driving Licence
