Fawkes & Reece Group in Plymouth is recruiting a Site Engineer for a major civils project. The role focuses on setting out, QA, and on-site coordination on a high-profile Ministry of Defence project. A degree in engineering and a CSCS card are required, with a minimum of 3 years’ civils site experience.

The position offers permanent employment with on-site duties, health and safety compliance, and close collaboration with the site team to meet design specifications and timelines.

Formación

• Degree in engineering + CSCS card required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience at Site Engineer level or above, ideally with civils project experience.

Responsabilidades

• Setting out structures and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations).
• Assist with quality control to ensure design specifications are met.
• Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management).
• Ensure high health, safety and environmental standards on site per client and business requirements.
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials meeting specification.
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations.
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD.

Site Engineer - Major Civils Project - Plymouth

My client is a long established, leading Civil Engineering Contractor.

They are presently delivering a major improvement works to a major Ministry of Defence Project in Plymouth, Devon.

The Site Engineer will be responsible for setting out, as-builts and quality assurance.

My client has at least 3+ years of work on this project and with the possibility of continuous work in the area for the right individual.

These are permanent positions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Setting out structures and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
• Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
• Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
• Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD.

Requirements:

• Required: Degree level or equivalent in an engineering-related discipline, plus relevant CSCS card
• Required: Minimum 3 years' experience at Site Engineer level or above, ideally with at least some civils project experience.
