Job summary

Premtech Ltd is seeking a senior/principal civil engineer to lead a multidisciplinary team in the UK energy sector. You will oversee design and delivery of pipelines and high-pressure systems, ensuring high engineering standards within budgets and timescales.

The role offers leadership credentials as office team-leader or workstream leader with mentoring and progression toward Chartered Engineer status. Placement in 2027 is contingent on experience.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
• 2:1 (Upper Second-Class) bachelor’s or master’s in civil engineering or related field accredited by a UK institution (e.g. ICE)
• Chartered status with engineering body or near to achieving chartership
• Experience in highly regulated industries and/or UK energy sector
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Leadership experience is desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects for pipelines and facilities in the UK and overseas
• Deliver engineering solutions from feasibility through commissioning and handover
• Prepare detailed project plans and programmes to meet standards and timelines
• Maintain project and financial control to meet man-hour, cost and time targets
• Monitor project performance and identify opportunities to improve margins
• Produce designs compliant with company, client, national and international standards
• Coordinate with internal disciplines and manage contracts and invoices
• Build and maintain strong client relationships for repeat business
• Provide technical input for proposals and new opportunities
• Support progression toward Chartered Engineer status and professional accreditation
