ERSG Ltd. is seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to provide technical leadership across a diverse energy infrastructure portfolio in the United Kingdom.

The role involves translating client requirements into deliverable engineering scopes, developing practical solutions and providing quality assurance across projects. The successful candidate will have a strong civil engineering background, capable of leading multidisciplinary teams, reviewing technical deliverables and maintaining

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Substantial professional experience in civil engineering design or infrastructure delivery.
• Experience in energy generation, storage, transmission or distribution sectors preferred.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and site constraints.
• Experience defining engineering scopes with deliverables, interfaces and technical boundaries.
• Experience reviewing technical reports, drawings and specifications with constructive feedback.
• Pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with ability to apply expertise to evolving challenges.
• Strong client and stakeholder management and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for civil engineering elements from feasibility to delivery.
• Review client requirements, site constraints, design information and objectives to identify approaches.
• Define and review civil engineering scopes of work, deliverables and interfaces.
• Provide guidance to engineers and delivery teams, ensuring robust, buildable solutions.
• Review calculations, drawings, specifications and reports for quality and fit-for-purpose.
• Coordinate civil inputs with structural, geotechnical, MEP, environmental and project management disciplines.
