Job summary

Assystem is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer (PSR) for defence projects in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on delivering PSR-related civil/structural design activities and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across critical infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in reinforced concrete and steel structures, with proven ability to justify design modifications in high-hazard settings and lead multidisciplinary teams within a nuclear or similar high-risk

Qualifications

Experience in design assessment of reinforced concrete and steelwork for dynamic loads.
Experience on reinforced concrete and steel marine structures such as jetties.
Ability to justify civil/structural design modifications in a high-hazard environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical excellence in specification, production and assessment of design packages.
Carry out plant walkdowns and produce PSR deliverables.
Specify reliability requirements and constraints for safe operations.
Assess work control procedures for maintenance per standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
