Job summary

Assystem UK Ltd. is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead Front End Engineering activities for Small Modular Reactors, Advanced Modular Reactors and Fusion projects.

You will steer multi-disciplinary teams, deliver engineering scope with focus on optioneering and safety-driven design, and ensure integration into broader plant infrastructure. Your leadership will guide the delivery of cutting-edge power station systems while upholding stringent UK safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of engineering teams in highly regulated environments.
• Experience delivering Front End Engineering for nuclear projects.
• Strong ability to conduct optioneering and justify options with safety arguments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Front Engineering for SMR/AMR and Fusion projects.
• Lead an engineering design team across disciplines.
• Drive optioneering and prepare robust ALARP/BAT justifications.
