Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Lead Civil Engineer to join the team in Plymouth. This is an on-site full-time role within the Defence team, focusing on civil and structural engineering for defence projects.

You will liaise with stakeholders, manage detailed design, and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance on site. The role requires Chartered Engineer status and a proven track record in complex civil projects within the defence sector, delivering design and

Qualifications

Essential experience of developing design assurance for complex projects.
Experience in civil engineering for complex projects.
Experience in stakeholder engagement throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Experience in a defence sector.
Experience in civil sector.
Experience of design delivery within defence projects.
Experience in engineering lifecycle management.
Chartered Engineer status or registration.

Responsabilités

Identify project functional requirements and works information; respond to RFIs and technical queries.
Provide engineering support and supervision on site.
Support optioneering and review project drawings/documentation.
Manage detailed design activities per project standards.
Technical assessment/approval of contractors' work instructions and risk assessments.
Supervise construction activities to ensure design intent.
Specify commissioning or decommissioning activities as required.
Engage with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
