Job summary

Mott MacDonald in the UK is recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer for the Buildings Unit. The role combines technical delivery with project management, taking ownership of project elements and mentoring junior engineers.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and Europe, contributing to bid work and business development. We offer a hybrid working model, development opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of our global engineering consultancy.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) with relevant experience.
• Experience in the design of building-related civil engineering projects, incl. site development, drainage, utilities and external works.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and delivery of building-related civil engineering works, including site development, drainage (including SuDS), earthworks, utilities, and external works such as car parks and access roads
• Deliver projects or project elements in line with quality, programme, and financial requirements
• Promote and ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures
• Support project management responsibilities for projects or defined work packages from bid stage through to completion
• Support business development activities and client engagement
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and graduates
