Job description

My client, a large, accomplished Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team of expert design engineers in the beautiful Northern city of Bradford.

Essential Criteria:

• Extensive experience in the industry
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent, relevant commercial experience)
• Chartered Membership of a recognised Professional Body (or actively working to attain Chartered status)
• Demonstrable experience of producing designs for external works and levels
• Excellent working knowledge of section agreements, applicable to commercial and industrial projects
• Good knowledge of the relevant software packages, including Civils 3D and InfoDrainage

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Senior Civil Engineer to possess the following skills:

• A good eye for detail, and excellent analytical skills
• Able to work comfortably within a team, a well as using own initiative
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills

In the diverse role of Senior Civil Engineer, you will join a large team of skilled individuals, and experts in their respective fields. You will have opportunities to develop your career through Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The role will involve a range of exciting responsibilities, including:

• Producing infrastructure designs across a range of residential and industrial projects
• Carrying out Flood Risk Assessments and drainage reports
• Preparing calculations and drawings for adoptable drainage systems and pipelines, aligned to the relevant agreements
• Producing 3D ground models for a variety of infrastructure projects
• Liaising with clients and other stakeholders, e.g. Environment Agency, Water Authorities, etc.
• Contributing to, and supporting, the management of a range of projects
