Job summary

Aldwych Consulting seeks a Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to join its expanding infrastructure team in Abingdon. You’ll work on drainage and highway design across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, delivering technical designs and reports from planning through to construction.

You'll collaborate with clients and stakeholders, manage multiple projects, and mentor junior engineers. The firm supports professional development toward Chartership and offers a hybrid working

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng preferred).
• Experience in a civil engineering consultancy environment.
• Experience in drainage, highways, infrastructure or development design.
• Working knowledge of relevant design standards and approval processes.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and other design software.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage workload across multiple projects.
• Working towards or pursuing professional qualification (EngTech, IEng or CEng).
• Mentoring junior staff would be beneficial for Senior level

Responsibilities

• Deliver drainage and highway design as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Prepare technical designs and reports for planning through construction.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders throughout projects.
• Manage smaller projects independently and support larger schemes.
• For seniors, mentor junior engineers and review technical work.
