Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in Abingdon is seeking a Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to join its infrastructure team. You'll work on drainage and highway design across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, contributing from planning through construction and coordinating with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng preferred).
• Experience in civil engineering consultancy environments.
• Experience in drainage, highways, infrastructure or development design projects.
• Working knowledge of relevant design standards and approval processes.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and other relevant design software.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage workload across multiple projects.
• Pursuing EngTech, IEng or CEng professional qualification.
• Senior level mentoring and coordination experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design drainage and highway design for developments.
• Prepare technical designs and reports; coordinate with clients and stakeholders.
• Support projects through planning, detailed design and construction stages.
• Manage smaller projects independently while contributing to larger schemes.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians as part of project delivery.
