Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in Basingstoke is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its infrastructure team and lead a varied portfolio of development and infrastructure schemes. You’ll remain technically hands-on while mentoring junior engineers and progressing your career.

The role covers delivery from pre-planning through construction, coordinating with clients and project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes with high technical quality.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng preferred).
• Experience in a civil engineering consultancy.
• Experience in drainage, highways, residential infrastructure or development infrastructure design.
• Good working knowledge of design standards and approval processes.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and other 3D design packages.
• Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating project teams.
• Ability to mentor and check the work of junior engineers.
• Working towards Chartership with ICE or a similar professional body.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from pre-planning to construction, delivering cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Manage multiple projects, review designs and support junior engineers.
• Coordinate with clients and project teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Check work and allocate tasks to junior staff while maintaining quality.
• Maintain technical quality and service delivery across schemes.
• Involved in drainage, highways and residential development infrastructure.
