Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in Leeds seeks a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead civil engineering design on residential, education and regeneration schemes. You will prepare and check designs, drawings, calculations, and specifications, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams from concept through to construction.

The role offers development of project management and client-facing skills within a supportive, quality-driven environment and promises a clear path to Chartership and professional growth

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer or actively working towards Chartership.
• Strong experience delivering civil engineering design projects within a consultancy environment.
• Experience across residential, education, commercial, development and regeneration projects.
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating project teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Interest in sustainable design, architecture and the wider built environment.
• Strong organisational skills with experience in project resource planning and deadline management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and check technical designs, drawings, calculations, reports and specifications.
• Coordinate project teams and manage project delivery.
• Develop project management, client-facing and commercial skills.
• Support resource planning and programme management.
