Job summary

Ferrovial Construction seeks a Civils Senior Design Engineer to oversee design coordination across Heathrow Airport projects. You will work within the Design Management team, collaborating with Project Managers, Clients and consultants to deliver safe, timely and compliant design solutions.

You will drive value through innovative approaches, manage design changes, and coordinate with procurement to align with commercial targets, while upholding health, safety and sustainability standards across

Qualifications

Proven experience in design coordination across civil and MEP on complex projects.
Working knowledge of BIM and digital engineering.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritise and deliver against challenging objectives.
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal guidance.
Experience leading teams and mentoring colleagues.
Commitment to health, safety and sustainability requirements.

Responsibilities

Manage tendering of design packages from client brief through appointment, ensuring scope clarity and commercial alignment.
Develop and maintain the Design Responsibility Matrix with clear ownership.
Coordinate design team activities to ensure safe, on-program, within-budget delivery.
Lead and develop direct reports, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team.
Monitor design progress, manage risks, and interface between design and project management.
Coordinate design interfaces across disciplines and stakeholders.
