Job summary

Dakota is seeking a skilled Senior Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen Team in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will oversee at least two sections during busy service, cook to specification, and contribute to a high standards culture.

You must have around 2 years of professional cooking experience, be hardworking and a team player, with food safety and health & safety awareness training preferred. We offer meals on duty, staff discounts, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years professional cooking experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Experience handling fish and meats.
• Training in Health & Safety, Allergens and Food Hygiene preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run at least two different sections during busy service.
• Prepare and cook dishes to Head Chef specifications for all menus.
• Carry out prep work and maintain knife skills across sections.
• Multi-task during peak periods and keep a clean, safe workspace.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards; promote learning across the kitchen.
